Mud Birthday Party

There is a new birthday party theme-Mud Party. Parents get a truck or dump truck full of dirt then turn the water and there you have it a mud party. Will went to his friends Carters party today and that is what it was.

Here is Carters mom and my friend Jamie. She decided to get into the action. It looked like fun but I wasn't dressed for it. Nor did I want to take off my clothes outside when it was time to go.

Some have already washed off but this is the crew.

Audrey and Emma just hanging out in the mud.

Will and Audrey getting a mud body mask. I will let you know how soft they are after there baths.

LSU vs. Florida

We didn't get to go this game but we had a lot of friends over. Mark smoked chickens and sausage. Our friend Steve cooked hamburgers. There was a lot of food and a lot of kids. He had 5 girls and 8 boys over. Will and Audrey had a great time. Everyone but our friend Mark (who did not have any children) stayed til the end. The game was exciting. I got so nervous at the end I sat on top of the stairs listening to Mark and Mark. I was scared if I came down that Florida would make a complete pass for a touch down, but they didn't. So all I have to say on that subject now is GEAUX TIGERS #1. Now lets get ready for Kentucky.

Audrey's Career Day

Ever since Audrey began to talk she wanted to be a Dentist. Friday they got to dress their chosen profession(well at this age chosen profession). It was so hard trying to find a Dentist outfit. I found this surgeon outfit and we stenciled Dentist on it. She also took toothbrush, dental floss, syringe and tweezers. I asked her why she was taking my tweezers and she told me to pull teeth with. She looked at me as if I was stupid for asking that question. Luckily I got my tweezers back at the end of the day.

Audrey's Dance

We had parent observation in Audrey's class last week. Here are some of the photos I took of the event.Audrey with her teacher Miss Jay.

We really need to work on her posture.

I don't know what is up with Audrey but if you have read and seen some of my other posts you will see Audrey always picking at her undergarments.

Will's field trip

Will and his class mates went to one of our cities festivals. By the time I arrived they had already gone to the hospital booth as you can see his friend Allison and Alex are all bandaged up. Will wanted to make sure he looked hurt. Allison just smiles her sweet smile.
Will looking pitiful and Allison well she wouldn't play along with the theme.
They also had a fishing pool. They had five minutes to catch a catfish.
Will did it. He caught a catfish. His Uncle Chuck would be proud of him. He was so excited but also disappointed that we couldn't take it home and fillet it.
I was sitting in the chair with Will and his friend Emma came and needed a seat. My friend told her son to move over and let Emma share his seat but he wouldn't so Will heard this and told me to get up. Actually he said Hurry get up. He scooted over and let Emma sit with him. He is my little gentleman. Now if I could get him to put down the toilet seat.

The kids ended the day listening to a Zydeco band. After that they ate lunch and back to school they went.

The Next Morning

Audrey and I walked to the pool the following morning. To our surprise there were two half naked people in the pool. I say half because the girl did have a thong and lace bra on and the guy was in his tighty whiteys. The pool area was absolutely beautiful.

We went back to the room to get Will and I took them swimming. They had a great time.

Isn't it beautiful.

Will and Audrey played for about an hour. Time to get out of the pool and continue our day.

We meet up with George, Janie and the kids to go eat breakfast at Cafe Du Monde.
We enjoyed the bengiet's so much that I didn't take any pictures until after we ate.
Out of eight orders (which have three nice size bengiet's on the plate) this is what was left. Now that is the kids table the adults left nothing!

We went shopping at the french Market afterwards where we got all kind of goodies. I take one last picture of the day before we are on our way back home.
We had a great weekend!

LSU VS. TULANE 2007

We met up with Janie, George, Joseph and Sarah in New Orleans for the big game. Daddy and Cindy were meeting us at the Super Dome. We were ready for a blow out.

We were on our way to the Dome. Audrey was having problems with her leggings.

While waiting for Daddy and Cindy I saw this guy. Now this is a true fan. He shaved his head and painted a helmet on it. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Audrey is so excited about being in New Orleans! I think it is the food she can't wait for.

The kids got bored waiting so they started climbing on an empty stage. At least they were occupied.

So was Joseph,

and Sarah.

The Motley Crew. We are ready to go in! Still waiting on Daddy and the tickets.

Aunt Janie and Audrey pose for the camera. Those two are two peas in a pod. Never let a photo opt pass them bye.

I couldn't resist taking a picture with my little girl. She was so excited.

Inside the Super Dome! Let the blow out begin!!!

I am not sure how many of you know about the Super Dome but if you look where we are sitting you will realize we were at the very top. We are so high up that they put bathrooms up there. We ordered our tickets early and this is where it got us. Daddy said because I was a smart ass to the ticket guy. I may have called him an idiot, but he was. Now I know not to piss off the guy that is getting my tickets.

We are ready to play. The players strutting their new uniforms NIKE made especially for this game.

My guys!

Daddy is looking closely as Tulane is beating the Tigers. He has his hopes up. Cindy was getting ready to say a bad word. Look at her mouth and you could probably figure out what it was going to be. She did just mouth it. Well we had children around what do you expect. So much for the blowout.

Audrey wanted to show off one of her faces of disgust at the way the tigers were playing.

Tiger band Awesome as ever!

Here come the tigers for the second half. All we could hope for was a better 2ND half. The first was horrible.

The flags are flying. Hopefully this will help.

No Daddy was having a great time. The kids were determined to high five him on the touchdown we just made.

What can I say we were having alot of fun.

My family.

Now that is a Mommy's girl!

My father has left us a legacy of funny faces. So we just wanted to make him proud.

I wanted to take a picture with the kids there Grandfather and Nana. But as usual it took an act of congress to get them to pose correctly.

Here it is. Will, Grandpa (aka Daddy), Audrey and Nana. Everyone is happy.

We were all ready for some real food after the game. We decided ACME Oyster House was the place to go. LSU won, we are with family everything is going great. Mark's brother Kim also came out to eat with us. We feasted on raw, fried and char grilled oysters, gumbo and shrimp. I was so full. It may have had something to do with the New Orleans bread pudding I ate after my meal.
Somethings in New Orleans never change, clubs and

strange people. Janie found some guys she wanted to hang with. Actually after we ate dinner Daddy and Cindy left. Mark took the kids to the hotel to go swimming. George, Janie, Kim and I went walking. We ended up at Pat O'Brien. We just picked up a drink to walk with. Burbon street really hasn't changed. Even though I noticed that more kids (7 to 15 years of age) were performing on the street at night. It was really sad.

Marks brother Kim is about to go home so we pose for one more photo opt. I went upstairs after this picture to make sure Mark was still alive. You never know what kids can do. He was fine. He was watching the Florida/Auburn game. Janie and George left with there kids and my kids fell asleep in less than 5 minutes after. I got ready for bed kissed everyone goodnight and went to sleep.
