Teacher Appreciation Week

My week was very busy. We served lunch to the teachers everyday. At least to the 20th since that was our last day of school before Easter break. I worked the dessert table and yes i gained 4 1/2 lbs. It wasn't just the desserts, everyday I would eat what we served and it was wonderful. It was a very busy week.

Sunny weekend

March 15th was a great weekend. It was very sunny and nice. We all spent the weekend outside. Mark grilling and doing yard work.

Bentley chilling in the yard.
Cindy running around.

Will up to something that would bother his sister.

Audrey in her swimsuit swinging.
And myself in and out of the house doing work and laying in the sun. I even got burnt. Our neighbors came over and had a few drinks with us. It was a great weekend.

I-Leap

Tomorrow the schools begin the testing. Will's grade will be taking the I-Leap test, so he went to bed early. All children have to be to school before 8 am. The school locks down for testing. No visitors and no late arrivals. If any child comes in late they will not be allowed past the office which basically means the parents must take them back home. So alarms are set here and clothes are laid out so we will be on time.

Matt Flynn

After the basketball game we went to meet Matt Flynn. The kids were so excited. He is Will's second favorite LSU player. His first is Jacob Hester. He will come to town in a few weeks but we will not be here.

The kids look on as Matt signs his photo.

He also signed Will's jersey. 15 happens to be Matt's number.

Matt was smiling but as usual the click is always delayed. Will was so proud to meet him.

Final B-Ball game for 2008

It finally came, the last basketball game. Well at least organized anyway. We will continue playing at the house. I am happy I finally get to sleep in next Saturday. Then again I am sad that another year has passed of watching the kids at this age and next year they will be a year older.

Will taking the ball down the court. He made a break for it and scored.
Audrey finished cheering and decided to ham it up with her daddy.
Will is getting tired. He and one other boy played the entire game.

The last take down. Will scored 6 points this game. I love how they improve as the season goes on. He was so tired but he never gave in, he just slowed down.

SNOW, SNOW, SNOW

Friday we had snow, yes, actual snow. I dropped the kids off for school then went to the store. I looked outside and you couldn't even see the parking lot. After buying some groceries I went and checked Audrey out of school. Will had test he needed to finish. We came home and began to play outside.
The house had snow.

See it!

Audrey got on the trampoline and it was slush. See it would snow the have a mixture of sleet rain and snow. Then it would snow again. Anyway she was soaking wet when she came inside.

She did a little work after she got changed and drank some hot cocoa.

I am not sure if you can see it in the next few pictures but it is snow falling.

and snow

Oh yes, this is the front yard view.

And this is the backyard. See the snow falling!

Audrey was at the band room eating the snow as it fell.

My birds were glad to see I put seed out but they were what the heck is going on. One minute it is 75 and the next 32.

And finally Audrey and I sharing a little love in the very rare condition in the south SNOW.

1st day of Physical Therapy

Today was my first day of physical therapy, all I have to say is it was painful. Most of the time was spent answering questions, since this was the first visit. Next we warmed up and then started some hip stretches. I thought ok not so bad but then we moved on to my shoulder. When he started to exam it and have me move it different ways it started to pop then came the crunching sounds and for me the feel of it. All he had to say was uuh. Once we started those exercises it hurt so bad. I couldn't even finish them. Starting next week I will go twice a week. But for the mean time I will do my stretches at home twice a day. I can walk a mile SLOWLY, do ab work and bicep curls. So today, I have had my protein enriched Special K and blogged so let the stretches and exercise begin. One more thing, he informed me that older people really need to stretch more. Just so all you old people out there know that. Needless to say he was younger than me.

Grandaughter visit

My step daughter, husband and granddaughter arrived at 1 am Saturday morning. I of course was asleep. When I got up at 6:30 Mark let me know he had already cleaned up vomit. I was so happy I slept in. We all got ready and went to Will and Audrey's game.

Here Ava is with her daddy. She doesn't feel really well. When we got home I gave her some Tylenol. She had 102 fever, poor baby.
After the medicine kicked in she felt good enough to eat grits and talk with her grandpa.

3 points

This past Saturday was another game day. I didn't watch the entire game even though I was there. I was getting frustrated because Will would stop when he had an open lay up lane. Well I missed the score that tied the game.

Will came up and stopped and made a 3 pointer, that's right a 3 pointer! With that goal he tied the game and it finished in a tie. He was so proud. And so were we.
